Sean Ong, a highly skilled and experienced consultant who has a proven track record of delivering results in the fields of human capital development, labour sector, education, e-commerce, business transformation and digital infrastructure. Throughout his career, Sean has demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead complex projects and programmes, to engage with stakeholders from different backgrounds, and to find innovative solutions to pressing challenges. As a key player in Malaysia’s National Transformation Programme (NTP), Sean has been at the forefront of the implementation of the Human Capital Development Strategic Reform Initiatives (SRI). With a keen eye for detail and a solution-oriented mindset, Sean has been responsible for conducting independent performance assessments, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, and ensuring the delivery of desired results through a yearly KPI setting with the civil service. Sean's international portfolio is equally impressive, having been involved in the implementation of initiatives for the National Programme for Enhancing Economic Diversification (Tanfeedh) Labour Lab in Oman. He provided counsel on the set- up of the Implementation, Support, and Follow-Up Unit (ISFU), now known as the Vision 2040 Office and played a critical role in improving the investment service centre in the Middle East, ensuring its sustainability through a one-stop investment portal. With extensive experience in conducting labs under PEMANDU’s Big Fast Results (BFR) 8-Step Methodology©, Sean has facilitated various labs, from tackling sectoral issues in the government to business turnarounds in the private sector. Most recently, Sean led a team of consultants at a Social Security Organisation in Africa, where he helped to establish a robust performance management framework to ensure the organization’s sustainability and continued provision of the best social security services to its members. Currently, Sean is the lead for the internal programme management team at PEMANDU, where he is focused on optimizing the company’s operations and processes, as well as developing its people. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, and he has been a part of successful projects in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Nigeria, Oman, and India. Whether he is working with government agencies, private sector companies, or communities, Sean consistently demonstrates his ability to lead projects, passion for problem solving, to engage stakeholders, and to deliver results.
